Community Partnerships Program Manager

Khadija Jahmila is a mixed media artist and community arts leader from the Washington, DC metropolitan area. As Project Create’s Community Partnerships Program Manager, she builds local partnerships and collaborates with teaching artists to design accessible, engaging arts experiences tailored to the needs and interests of local communities. With more than a decade of experience in program development and community engagement, Khadija has led arts programming across DC-area schools and cultural institutions, as well as national service and federal programming initiatives reaching thousands of participants.

As an artist, Khadija creates hand-cut analog and digital collages exploring cultural memory, folkloric traditions, surrealism, and the African diaspora. Her work has been recognized through regional exhibitions and residencies, including serving as Season Artist at Baltimore Center Stage and completing residencies with the Capitol Hill Arts Workshop and Eaton DC. She holds a Bachelor of Science in Forensic Biology from Guilford College.
