Kelcey Anyá Broomfield

Director of Programs

Kelcey Anyá is a multi-disciplinary performing artist, arts administrator and arts advocate from South Louisiana. She began her performance career at the age of two as a dancer, fell in love with all things performance and her motto became “as long as I can touch the stage, I’m happy.”

Kelcey Anyá possesses a B.A. in International Studies with minors and concentrations in Political Science, Conflict Peace & Diplomacy and Spanish from Miami University (Ohio). She also has a M.A. in Theatre, Performance and Practice with certificates in both Teaching and Women’s Gender and Sexuality Studies and a M.Ed. in Curriculum & Instruction Leadership from Miami University (Ohio) and Liberty University, respectively.

She merged her love for education and the arts when she began her career as a teaching artist in New York City. Kelcey Anyá has now combined her interests and passion for policy, arts advocacy and arts education in her current Doctoral program in Education Policy: Arts Ed Policy. Returning to the DMV in a full circle moment, 10 years later, Kelcey Anya’ is incredibly excited to be a part of the Project Create Team and serving students in the DC metro area.
